Even as Twitter bans trolls, there are people on other platforms who always find ways to pick on everything famous people do and say. We, as a loyal fan base, have always coveted the lives of these celebrities and are also the first to judge their lives when they do what is not ordinary.
A couple of days ago, when Janhvi Kapoor was made fun of, the ever vocal Arjun Kapoor made a bold statement to this effect, “Not for a moment does the man typing on a keyboard, who has no face, think how he would feel if the same thing was said about his sister, mother, daughter or girlfriend. They look at celebrities as people who are not affected by what anyone says. Sitting within the confines of his room, he thinks that he has a right to an opinion. The opinion that he holds is just a reaction to his own frustration. We are in a profession where everyone has an opinion about our body and our physical appearances. They throw it out there in public and laugh about it. We also need to stop ourselves from giving importance to such comments. In fact, comments by trolls should not be paid heed to by the media even if it means that the piece of news will lead to more hits or clicks online. Trolls thrive on the fact that their comments create news. One way is to not react to it but sometimes, it becomes important to stand up and react. The best way to deal with it is to ensure that the trolls and their comments don’t get amplified. No woman or man deserves amplification of hate comments from social media.” This is perhaps one of the best ways a celebrity can really defend those who have been wronged, right?
When Esha Gupta was called the S word for her post on Instagram, she shut the haters down with a long and sentimental statement about why it is okay for her online presence to be the way it is. Every star has reacted to the comments with swift and precise ferocity, much like an army does when attacked from all sides. The internet is not a bed for spreading venom and hateful messages. It is for standing up for what is right and making a point to the same effect. Speak up, let your voices be heard and let the trollers and haters know you do not care anymore.
It is but an important point to note that when Shah Rukh Khan and Twinkle Khanna were trolled, they refused to stay quiet about it. They fought back and how! Both of them were vicious in their own rights and used their words for good, rather than going back and hiding in a shell. It isn’t just these famous celebrities who are fighting back. I would reply to u but I don’t know if u r appropriately and fashionably dressed for my reply… https://t.co/r33eNR3fbs

Celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Abhishek Bachchan also shut down their haters in one swift blow, making sure they gave back the invisible writers a dose of what they needed in life. If ever you are in a position where there’s too much being said about you, do not cover under the shadows of the harsh words, but fight back and let your voice be heard.
India’s Most Wanted Movie Review
Director: Raj Kumar Gupta
Cast: Arjun Kapoor, Prashanth P. Alexandrr, Rajesh Sharma, Shantilal Mukherjee, Asif Khan and Gaurav Mishra
A Raj Kumar Gupta directorial, India’s Most Wanted shows how 5 officers led by Prabhat (Arjun Kapoor) track down India’s most wanted terrorist, Yasin Bhatkal. Without using weapons, guns or any kind of monetary support, the team of officers track and bring to justice India’s most wanted terrorist.
Inspired by true life events, India’s Most Wanted tells the story of how officers not only nab Yasin Bhatkal, a terrorist and the founder of the Indian Mujahideen. This movie showcases the hunt for Bhatkal renamed Yusuf, and also depicts the massive gaps with the way Indian law enforcement agencies deal with crime. The movie opens to a group of five officers who get a tip off about the whereabouts of Yusuf and they swear to bring him to justice in under four days.
Unlike other crime thrillers, this movie shows the officers as five ordinary men with no fancy frills or over the top gadgets. However, while the story is solid as it goes, the movie lacks the tension and drama one would expect. The underplaying of the officers seems to go against the plot and not work with it, making the movie seems slightly long and winded.
However, while the obvious tension is missing from the film, the fact that all the officers live with the fear of death at the hands of Yusuf keep you hooked. Filled with songs and different scenes of worried characters, the movie builds up to a nail biting climax.
What works for this movie is the way Raj Kumar Gupta uses a cast which perfectly portrays the ordinary life of the officers. Prabhat (Arjun Kapoor) plays the role of the leader who takes it upon himself to capture Yusuf.
All in all, the well rounded way the actors and director Raj Kumar Gupta, work makes the film a good watch. Telling the story of unsung heroes and silent officers who make India safe, India’s Most Wanted, tells a story which needs to be heard.
PM Narendra Modi Biopic Review
Director: Omung Kumar
Cast: Vivek Oberoi, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Anjan Srivastav, Darshan Kumar, Zarina Wahab, Rajendra Gupta, Boman Irani
Just like the name of the biopic suggests, PM Narendra Modi is based on the life of Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Chronicling the beginning of his life as a tea seller at a railway station, the movie maps the political journey of the Prime Minister. The biopic climaxes at the point where Mr. Narendra Modi swears in as the Prime Minister of India in the year 2014!
Despite the release of PM Narendra Modi being delayed by the Election Commission of India (EC) till after the Lok Sabha elections, the release is nothing short of a victory parade. Since the beginning of the movie, the makers have made sure they pay tribute to PM Modi in every way possible.
Every frame is a tribute to the rise of man who was once a tea seller at a railway station who rose to first become a RSS member and then the Prime Minister of the Country. For those who love the man unconditionally, this biopic is a reaffirmation of their faith but, for those who like to watch biopics with a solid dose of reality, will question the finer points.
While Modi is shown in almost god like form, the opposition is shown as a weak and incompetent party. Perhaps what makes a stark notable point here is that Manmohan Singh has absolutely no speaking role in the film. While businessman Narayanan is seen working with journalist Kumar to bring down Mr. Modi, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are shown as figureheads with not much of a role.
The only other character in the film who has almost as much screen space as Mr. Modi is Boman Irani, who plays the man responsible for giving Gujarat the Tata Group. Unlike other biopics (Thackeray for example,) PM Narendra Modi offers no points of debate.
Overall, the film is worth a watch if you are a Narendra Modi Ji fan but not if you want to watch a well thought out biopic.
Zoya Factor First Look Released
Sonam Kapoor just shared the first look poster of her new film, Zoya Factor, on Twitter and it looks whimsical.
— Sonam K Ahuja (@sonamakapoor) May 23, 2019
Based on the novel written by Anuja Chauhan in 2008 and directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film is a romcom, which revolves around the life of an advertising agent and her relationship with the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team.
After her last film, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, received mixed reviews from both audience and critics, Sonam Kapoor is back with Zoya Factor, which seems to have an entertaining plot.
The film also features the Malayalam heart throb Dulquer Salmaan. This is his second venture into Bollywood, after Karwaan.
The poster showcases Sonam and Dulquer sitting in a cricket stadium and gazing into each other’s eyes. The chemistry between the leads seems to be on point in the poster. Fans can definitely expect this film to be a fun filled entertainer. Catch Zoya Factor in cinemas from 20th September 2019.
PM Narendra Modi Trailer Released
After a long wait (and just short of the Lok Sabha elections,) the trailer of the biopic about PM Narendra Modi was released today. With Vivek Oberoi playing Narendra Modi, the trailer maps out the Prime Minister’s life from before his entrance into politics to being a Prime Minister. With subtle prosthetics and makeup done the right way, Oberoi has pulled off Modi’s character perfectly.
Opening to the days of Modi’s life as a tea seller at a railway station, the trailer moves forward to show how Modi ended up as one of the most important persons in India. With hard hitting slogans, the tri colour fluttering with pride and hints of anti Pakistani sentiments, this movie is a tribute to Modi. Watch the trailer here and now!
— Vivek Anand Oberoi (@vivekoberoi) March 20, 2019
Apart from giving us an insight into Modi’s life, the trailer also shows us what to expect from the different characters in the film. Furthermore, it also shows us Modi’s life as a child and about his self imposed exile from family and marriage life. From rescuing Muslims, to saving a burning Gujarat and to the victory of Modi’s party in 2014, this trailer shows Narendra Modi as not just a leader, but a man of action.
While some people argue, this movie is about furthering and promoting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) before the Lok Sabha elections, others say it is a dedication to the Party’s leader. Also starring Boman Irani, Manoj Sinha, Zarina Wahab, Barkha Bisht, Darshan Rawal, Akshat R. Saluja, Anjan Shrivastav, Rajendra Gupta and Yatin Karyekar, this biopic is directed by Omung Kumar.
With most of the film shot in Gujarat, the biopic is co produced by Sandeep Ssingh, Suresh Oberoi and Anand Pandit. Initially scheduled to release on the 12th of April, the release date of PM Narendra Modi was changed. This movie is now slated to hit the screens on the 5th of April this year.
Kalank First Song Ghar More Pardesiya Out Now
After keeping us all waiting with bated breath for something other than just a teaser, the makers of Kalank have finally released a brand new song! Titled Ghar More Pardesiya, this new song doesn’t have a conventional pair as the lead but is instead, centered around Alia Bhatt’s and Madhuri Dixit’s characters.
Written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the voice has been given by Shreya Ghoshal and Vaishali Mhade. The song opens to Alia Bhatt’s and Varun Dhawan’s characters entering a Ramleela performance. While on the one side of the stage, Laxman draws the epic Lakshman Rekha in front of Sita, Madhuri Dixit’s character is seen swinging on the other side. Listen to the song here.

— Alia Bhatt (@aliaa08) March 18, 2019
What makes this song stand out is the way the attention to detail and the old school charm the song has. From the way the song was picturised, to the way Madhuri and Alia are dressed, the picturisation of this song has been perfectly done.
Days before the song was released, Alia teased everyone with tiny bits and pieces about how the shoot for the song went, “A song that gave me sleepless nights, days & months is coming very very soon.. I think you can safely say that I have never been SO nervous for anything in my life.. *screams frantically and hides under bed* You may have to send a search party to find me. Meanwhile watch this space for more.”
Directed by Abhishek Varman (known for other brilliant movies like 2 States,) this movie is the most awaited film of this year. Also starring Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in key roles, Kalank is all set to hit the screens on the 17th of April this year!
