There comes a time in everyone’s life when you really want to travel, but circumstances and obligations just do not let you! When life takes on a dirty road, Bollywood takes you down the happy road. As the year 2018 runs forward with frightening speed, movies like Kaarwan come to give us a breath of fresh air. Before this particular Irrfan Khan film hits the screens, here is looking at some truly beautiful travel films!

1. Piku

I think there is something inherently wrong with people who do not like road trips. If you still have doubts and apprehensions over travel, then Piku is what you must watch! Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan (playing father daughter) embark on a trip from Delhi to Kolkata with Irrfan Khan playing the cab driver. Showing a severely dysfunctional family, Piku talks about growth, acceptance and the ever evolving journey of life through the lush landscapes of the North!

2 Dil Chahta Hai

This has to be my favourite film on travel. No friendship is ever explored fully until you take a trip to Goa, right? From Goa to Sydney, the three friends discovered themselves in a new light. Watch if you miss the days of your childhood’s past!

3. Highway

Alia Bhatt really explored horizons with this movie. The ultimate victim of Stockholm Syndrome, Alia Bhatt realised her true potential as an actress and went beyond what was expected of her. Her journey began in Delhi, travelled through the  Sangla Valley in Himachal Pradesh to the Aru Valley and Chandanwari near Pahalgam, Highway took us through different walks of life in a country as diverse as India.

I miss being young, wild and free, with a broad horizon still left unexplored. If you think we missed out on any films about travel that touch your soul, comment and let us know!

Biopics, when made about the life of people who have accomplished great things, are a treat to watch. However, when they are made on the celebrities themselves, there is an added pleasure while watching them. From Sanju to The Dirty Picture, the biopics made about our celebrities are riveting, to say the least. Check out these epic biopics on some of the most entertaining and talked about stars in the world of acting and cinema.

1. Sanju

When Rajkumar Hirani tried his hand at a biopic based on the life of Sanjay Dutt, a lot of people were skeptical about the final outcome. However, the moment the film hit the screens, all doubts disappeared. So good was Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Sanjay Dutt that one was left wanting more from the film! From being accused about womanising to being involved in the Mumbai bombing case, everything about Sanjay Dutt’s life has been extremely interesting, to say the least.

2. The Dirty Picture

Silk Smitha was perhaps one of the most controversial actresses in South India and when a movie on her life was announced, everyone wanted to watch the movie. Known for her highly controversial and erotic roles, Silk Smitha surprised everyone by being bold despite all the criticisms she received. When Vidya Balan played her in The Dirty Picture, an entirely different side of this lady was brought to the fore. One of the best biopics about the life of an actress in recent times!

3. Karenjit Kaur

The story about the life of Canadian actress Sunny Leone, Karenjit Kaur created its fair share of controversies when it hit the OTT platforms. Based on the life of this extremely controversial actress, this particular series talks about how a girl from a conventional Punjabi home breaks boundaries and sets out to do something she is really passionate about. An inspiring tale, this web series tells quite a detailed story about Sunny’s early life and how she struggled to reach the top. An interesting watch, Karenjit Kaur shows how everyday life is like for actors on the other side of work.

4. Mahanti

Based on the life of legendary actress Savitri (known as the first superstar of India,) Mahanti was a riveting biopic. A Telugu biopic, this particular story brought to the fore the hard times this lady faced to become one of the leading ladies in the world of acting and cinema. A film that needed to be made, Mahanti was a story like no other.

While there haven’t been too many biopics based on the lives of Indian celebrities, the ones mentioned here stand as the best in these categories. With every biopic addressing the other side of the celebrities we adore so much, these films also give us a much needed reality check. Which actor or actress deserves a biopic about their life? Bollywood Movies Where Men Played Women Roles

Bollywood Movies Where Men Played Women Roles,Mango Bollywood,Bollywood Movies Updates,Male Actors in Female Getup,Male in Female Role,Bollywood Actors Playing Female Roles,Bollywood Actors in Women Role,Male Actors In Female Roles Bollywood,Top 5 Bollywood Actors in Female Roles

Bollywood actors have gone to crazy lengths to ensure they put not just their best foot forward, but also make sure they put their heart and soul into the role they play. From putting an impressive amount of effort into the way they look for their character to completely changing their appearance, our actors have gone above and beyond to always put nothing but the best into their role. Here’s looking at actors who went the extra mile by changing not only their appearance, but also their gender for a movie!

1. Kamal Hassan for Chachi 420

While Kamal Hassan is one of the most versatile actors in the industry, what clinched his role as one of the best actors was when he played a woman in Chachi 420. Fighting for spending time with his daughter, the best way he could do so was by imitating a woman and becoming a nanny! He was so convincing as a woman, his own wife didn’t recognise him for a major part of the film!

2. Riteish Deshmukh for Apna Sapna Money Money

Long hair, pouty and luscious lips and a body to die for, Riteish Deshmukh did the unthinkable by playing a woman to perfection in Apna Sapna Money Money! Not only did he get the appearance right, he also managed to change his voice and make it sound unbelievably feminine. So brilliant was his performance in this movie, not many could tell he wasn’t actually a woman!

3. Shreyas Talpade in Paying Guest

If you thought Kamal Hassan and Riteish Deshmukh were the only ones who played women roles really well, then think again. A really great actor in every way, Shreyas Talpade clinched his position in the list of top ten actors. What was so great was the way he executed the role of a woman to perfection. In fact, he believes there is nothing more beautiful than being able to play a female character and once you watch him in Paying Guest, you realise how much weight he puts into those words.

4. Saif Ali Khan in Humshakals

Saif Ali Khan may have a lot of feathers in his already full hat, but what sets him apart in the acting world is how he played the role of a woman in Humshakals! If you think the Nawab of Pataudi would have qualms about playing a woman in a film, think again! From the way he pulls off a slightly over the top dress to the way he throws his voice in an extremely convincing manner, everything about Saif in this film is brilliant!

5. Shahid Kapoor in Milenge Milenge

From being the boy next door in his first film to being a man on a mission in Haider, Shahid Kapoor has been a part of some really great films. However, what surprised and awed everyone was the way he pulled off a female character in the film Milenge Milenge. Complete with blonde hair, short skirts and high heels, no one can say Shahid Kapoor was not perfect in this film!

When actors go above and beyond of what is expected and do something well, one has to applaud their performance. If you think we missed out on any actors like this, comment and let us know!

Namaste England Review

Namaste England Review,Namaste England First Day Box Office Expectations,Namaste England Movie Review,Namaste England First Day Box Office Collections,Namaste England First Day Collections,Namaste England Rating,Namaste England Movie Rating,Namaste England Review and Rating,Namaste England 1st Day Collections

Cast: Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Alankrita Sahai

Director: Vipul Amrutlal Shah

Set against the varying backdrops of Punjab and London, Namaste England tells the story of how Param (Arjun Kapoor) and Jasmeet (Parineeti Chopra) meet and instantly fall in love. With more than a justified dose of drama, the film sees the evolving journey of love between Param and Jasmeet, a relationship which sees marriage on the cards in the very near future.

However, despite agreeing to get married, neither of them foresee the possibility of both of them not living in the same country together. As the wedding date draws closer, Jasmeet tells Param of her intention of pursuing her future in London. Playing the role of the love struck boyfriend to perfection, Param decides the place is not important as long as he is with his lady love and makes the bold choice to cross borders with Jasmeet.

Just when you think everything is going to be happy and rosy with Param and Jasmeet, London doesn’t see Param as a suitable resident and promptly rejects his visa (Jasmeet, of course, gets hers.) What follows next is the struggle the two love birds face to get to their happily ever after, with both of them trying everything in their power to make their union a happy and joyous one.

While it is a really good thing to see Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor back on the silver screen together after a long gap (Ishaqzaade was the last film they were in together,) Namaste England just does not live up to the expectations. Despite being shot in exquisite locations and having music that will certainly make you get up and dance, this movie just fails to hit the nail on the head.

The message the makers and the cast are trying to make is quite obvious. This film is about how a man wants to follow a girl and help her make her dreams come true, not the other way around. Unfortunately, what does not work for this Vipul Amrutlal Shah directorial is the fact the script and the story were written with minimal effort. To turn a great idea into a great film requires considerable work and this is something the makers of Namaste England completely missed.

All in all, Namaste England makes for a one time watch. What works for this Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor starrer is the strong nostalgic factor, taking one down the road of Ishaqzaade. At the end of the day, the only strong suit of Namaste England is the beautiful chemistry between the two leads and its catchy music!

Bollywood Villains So Scary, They Still Give Us The Creeps

Bollywood Villains So Scary - They Still Give Us The Creeps,Mango Bollywood,Bollywood Villains So Terrifying They Overshadowed The Heroes Of Their Film,Badass Villains From Bollywood Who Still Give Us The Creeps,Bollywood Villains Latest News,Top Bollywood Villains,Bollywood Villains Of All Time Still Give Us The Creeps

Bollywood has given us a lot to be thankful for over the years. From giving us movies that make us believe in happily ever afters to giving us villains that terrify the living day lights out of us, Bollywood has truly been a treasure trove of great stories and characters. While a lot of attention has been given to the love stories and the heroes of Bollywood, not much has been said about the scary dudes or the villains (the true unsung heroes of Bollywood.) Here’s taking a look at some really scary villains in Bollywood!

1. Gabbar Singh (Sholay

From giving people iconic lines and really good songs, Sholay has been one of the most loved films since the day it hit the screens. However, while people love this film not just for Amitabh Bachchan’s character or Basanti’s dancing, but for the wonderful villain in the form of Gabbar Singh! Remember the line, kitne aadmi the? It was said by none other than this great, scary dude with the grand twirling mustache! Definitely one of the best villains in Bollywood to date!

2. Mogambo (Mr. India

Even after all these years, Mr. India is still loved universally for the many brilliant characters. Most importantly, it was widely appreciated for the unique character of Mogambo! Remember the line, “Mogambo khush hua?” Of course you do! No one can ever forget the way this man scared everyone so royally with his disappearing act and iconic hat! One of the most spectacular villains to date for sure!

3. Sir Juda (Karz

Despite the fact that Sir Juda from Karz had no dialogues in the film, he was still one of the scariest villains in the world of Bollywood. For the first time in the history of villains in Bollywood, it was interesting to see this man give orders through knocks! Also, let’s not forget Sir Juda’s right hand man, the person responsible for translating his boss’s orders. The right hand man was just as scary as Sir Juda, right? We think so!

4. Kajol (Gupt)

Perhaps one of the first ever female actresses to get nominated for the best villain role, Kajol was flawlessly scary in Gupt. She was already at the peak of her career and this film just pushed her over the edge from mediocrity to brilliance. Playing the role of a stalker, psychopath and a killer all in one, Kajol’s performance in this movie was flawless and brilliantly executed!

5. Shaan (Shakaal)

Even though Kulbhushan Kharbanda played some really great roles, his portrayal of Shaan in Shakaal is the most memorable one. What is most surprising here is that while Kulbushan played a lot of good boy roles in the past, his depiction of an evil villain like this was never seen before. Quite a contrasting change, right?

With so many great villains in the industry, it is indeed hard to pick just one classic bad guy. Who is your favouite villain? Comment and let us know!

Amitabh Bachchan Movies That Need To Be Made Again

Amitabh Bachchan Movies That Need To Be Made Again,Mango Bollywood,Amitabh Bachchan Latest News,Amitabh Bachchan Upcoming Movie News,Amitabh Bachchan Next Film Updates,Amitabh Bachchan Movies,Latest And Upcoming Films Of Amitabh Bachchan,Best movies of Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan was perhaps the man behind redefining Hindi cinema. From redefining the way people looked at actors to the way he captivated the audience through his brilliant acting, Big B is most certainly the man who made Indian cinema what it is today. From Sholay to Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum to Pink, Amitabh Bachchan has more than proved his worth not just as an actor but a man who stood on a platform of his own. Check out some of the most iconic performances by this great man here.

1. Hum

With his larger than life personality and oozing with charisma like never before, Amitabh Bachchan burned the screen with his brilliant acting in Hum! Playing the role of Rajnikanth’s and Govinda’s brother in this multi starrer movie, Big B definitely made his presence felt in this Mukul Anand directorial. If this movie was to be remade, no one else can even think of being compared to the brilliant cast this Mukul Anand film had!

2. Muqaddar Ka Sikander

In this filmy version of Devdas, Amitabh Bachchan proved his worth as one of the finest actors in the Bollywood industry. Standing his ground next to a talented star like Vinod Khanna, Big B made it be known that he was not just a good looking man but a really talented actor as well!

3. Abhimaan

Amitabh Bachchan delivered one of his best performances in his career in this Hrishikesh Mukherji directorial. Playing the role of an insecure husband constantly overshadowed by his extremely talented wife, Big B portrays what every man in this position feels like with flawless ease. No other actor could have played this role as well as Amitabh Bachchan did!

4. Silsila

Perhaps one of the best films made by Yash Chopra, Silsila was one of the most romantic films Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha acted in together. A star studded film, this movie laid the foundation of a beautiful chemistry  between Rekha and Big B, with Sanjeev Kumar essaying his role to a level of perfection like never before! Definitely a film that needs to be remade, hopefully with the same cast if possible!

5. Piku

How many people can play a man suffering from indigestion and constipation as well as Amitabh? Not many, right? Right! With a host of different personalities to his character, Senior Bachchan pulled off the role of an over bearing father with extreme ease and perfection. On the other hand, Piku cannot be described as a movie with bowel and constipation issues. It is about breaking from the conventional norms of story telling and exploring family dynamics in a new light, with Big B forming the central character of the film!

6. Don

While there have been several versions of Don, the original Amitabh Bachchan film can never be remade, with this version always remaining as one of the most classic films made to date. With snazzy one liners and a spectacular double role performance by Big B, the original Don deserves a place on the best Bollywood films to date and has to immortalised in the forever changing sands of time.

7. Anand

Not many could have dreamed of playing second fiddle to Rajesh Khanna and still get noticed. However, Amitabh Bachchan did the unthinkable and managed to get noticed despite being paired opposite such an impressive actor. While Big B turned his act around and got noticed for his acting skills, Anand was also the movie which was credited as the turning point in his career.

8. Zanjeer

Before doing Zanjeer, Amitabh Bachchan was known for his family dramas and sensitive roles. However, this film showed the serious side to this quick growing actor and was responsible for Amitabh Bachchan’s nickname as the Angry Young Man of Bollywood! With anger and depth instilled into every scene of this really well thought out film, Amitabh Bachchan grew into his own.

There have been so many movies Big B has been a part of that were thought to be really great. However, while we cannot mention them all here, we leave it to you to pick the ones you think are best. Comment and let us know which Big B movie you loved the most and why!
