Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Review: Packs A Punch And Not So Much

Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Review: The Cast Packs A Punch, The Story Not So Much, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Movie Review, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Hindi Movie Review and Rating, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Latest Movie Public Talk, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Live Updates, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Movie Talk, Sanjay Dutt's Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Movie Updates, Mango Bollywood, Bollywood Movie Reviews, Bollywood Box Office Collection 2018 Report, latest Bollywood movies

Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahie Gill, Chitrangada Singh, Soha Ali Khan, Kabir Bedi, Deepak Tijori, Pamela Bhutoria

Director: Tigmanshu Dhulia

Rating: 3 on 5

Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3, the third installment of the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster series hit the screens today and from the first impression, the film is extremely different from the previous two films. An imprisoned saheb, an extremely politically powerful biwi and a London based gangster obsessed with killing using Russian roulette, form the central characters of this particular film.

The third installment picks off from where Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns ends. Aditya (the saheb) is in prison on murder charges while Madhavi (Aditya’s first wife) works with his second wife (Soha Ali Khan) to keep him inside! The gangster in the form of Sanjay Dutt clinches the entire plot in a very regal manner! The central point of the film focuses on the stories of Aditya and Madhavi.

The rest of the cast, with the exception of Sanjay Dutt, act as fillers, leaving a sour after taste. However, what makes the film works for the most part is the taut writing. In a film with so many characters, the film usually fails but Tigmanshu Dhulia has really done quite a splendid job with the story!

It is quite obvious that Dhulia fell prey to the usual pitfalls by using an unforgettable item number as well as a seemingly avoidable love song. Thankfully, what redeems him are the crisp punch packed dialogues. Despite a dramatic script, the dialogues are well written and highly effective. Overall, with a screenplay that surprises and performances to match, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 successfully takes the legacy forward with slight bumps on the way.

Best Movies Of Superstar Amitabh Bachchan,Amitabh Bachchan Completes 50 Years in Movies,Mango Bollywood,2019 Latest Bollywood Movies,Amitabh Bachchan Best Movies,Superstar Amitabh Bachchan Best Movies From Last 50 Years,Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan,Amitabh Bachchan Completes 50 Years in Cinema

Amitabh Bachchan, the superstar, the King of Bollywood, the ultimate Badshah of Bollywood, finishes 50 years in the industry today! While the baritone voice is a familiar presence in the Country now, the Angry Young Man of Bollywood had an inspiring journey. Here is taking a look at Amitabh Bachchan’s journey in the world of Bollywood in the last 5 decades!

1. Zanjeer

Zanjeer set the world of Bollywood onto a new path. While Amitabh Bachchan was already coming into his own before this film, Zanjeer gave the actor a new direction. When Amitabh Bachchan was introduced to the world of Bollywood, people had a new face to look at and admire. With the movie being all things amazing and Amitabh Bachchan being hailed as the next big thing, everyone was looking forward to something exciting. As a first movie, Zanjeer was the best thing which could happen to the Angry Young Man.

2. Silsila

From the moment Zanjeer became the super hit film that it was destined to be, Amitabh Bachchan’s success kept growing. With Silsila, his presence in the world of Bollywood was further cemented through his brilliant acting skills. His scintillating chemistry with Rekha quite literally set the rumour mill on fire, giving people a fresh new pair to look forward to everyday! A movie which wasn’t just about love, Silsila redefined the way people looked at and dealt with different circumstances. With the characters being so carefully handled, the movie just made everyone stand up and take notice of not just Amitabh Bachchan, but of Rekha as well!

3. Sholay

A movie which needs no introduction, Sholay was an Amitabh Bachchan classic film. A classic, Sholay was one of the highest grossing films released at the time and ranked first in the British Film Institute’s 2002 poll of “Top 10 Indian Films” of all time. A story about two criminals (Jeet and Veeru, played by Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan,) who try to capture a criminal, Gabbar Singh, this movie more than earned its place in the hall of fame. While the film initially received negative reactions when it released, the reviews quickly picked up and people started falling in love with the characters and the attention to detail the film had. Sholay was a film like never before and was perhaps one of the best performances Amitabh gave so far!

4. Don

The first and original Don, Amitabh Bachchan was a class act like no other actor. Playing a double role for the first time in his career, senior Bachchan ruled the roost with his acting skills in this movie! The third highest grossing movie when it released, this movie set the charts on fire because of how well Amitabh pulled his weight in both the roles in this movie. Classified as a golden jubilee hit by Box Office India, Don was an iconic movie in every sense of the word. The line, “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai,” is still popular even today!

5. Agneepath

This film had a lot of expectations riding on Amitabh Bachchan. The title for this movie was taken from a poem written by Harshvardhan Rai Bachchan (Amitabh’s father) and the film also had an extremely talented cast (Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi, Neelam Kothari, Rohini Hattangadi and Danny Denzongpa.) The poem written by Amitabh’s father was recited at the beginning of the film and just like Amitabh’s character, the poem gives shape to the central crux of this film as well. With Big B playing the character so well, Agneepath went on to become a major cult movie in years to come!

6. Piku

Telling the story of Piku Banerjee (played by Deepika Padukone) and her father (Amitabh Bachchan,) Piku saw Amitabh Bachchan acing the character. From praising the characterisation, to loving the plot, critics and fans alike loved the movie so much, it became an instant hit the moment it released! While both Deepika Padukone and Irfan Khan added a certain impact to the movie, it was Amitabh Bachchan’s perfect portrayal of a cranky old man which added the much needed gravitas to Piku. Definitely one of Amitabh’s best performances in the recent past!

While Amitabh Bachchan was known for playing certain roles during the earlier part of his career, he grew to play different types of characters in the future years. From changing the way people saw him in cinema, to creating a positive image for himself, Amitabh Bachchan has quite literally carved a throne for himself in the world of Bollywood. Here’s looking forward to more amazing films from the Badshah of Bollywood in the coming 50 years!

Bollywood Movies Which Didn’t Have Clichéd Endings

Bollywood Movies Which Didn’t Have Clichéd Endings,Bollywood Movies With the Worst Endings, The Lunch Box,Rockstar, Bollywood films bad climax, Kartik Calling Kartik,Ekk Main Aur Ek Tu, Bluffmaster, Mango Bollywood, Latest Bollywood Film News

Bollywood has always been the gold mine of happily ever afters and great endings. However, while most films deliver on the promise of a beautiful ending, there are some which build up to the possibility of a beautiful ending, but end up giving us something completely different. Here’s taking a look at movies which just ended in a different way than we thought.

1. The Lunch Box

A story about two people falling in love despite the unlikely circumstances, The Lunchbox has an ending which makes you rethink the idea of love itself. Two strangers fall in love through letters and when they finally decide to meet, destiny seems to have different plans. While the two hack a plan, things don’t work out the right way. However, even though the initial meeting doesn’t pan out the way it was supposed to, the open ending leaves one wondering whether the two strangers eventually meet or not. Leaving you with an uneasy feeling and wanting for more, The Lunch Box tells a story beyond the cliches and the expected norms!

2. Rockstar

One of the best movies to have been made in the recent past, Rockstar had an extremely surprising ending. A story about a rockstar fighting for his dreams and working on making his hopes come true, Rockstar depicted suffering in the most heart touching way. Despite having everything going the way it was supposed to for the main character, his journey toward the end of the film leaves one longing and wanting for more.

3. Kartik Calling Kartik

Kartik Calling Kartik had all the makings of a film leading toward a happy ending. Kartik (played by Farhan Akhtar,) falls in love with Sona (Deepika Padukone.) A series of phone calls help Kartik overcome his low confidence levels not just at work, but also help him get the love of his life. However, despite the calls helping in the beginning, they start becoming invasive and creepy toward the second half. When the calls start increasing in their intensity, Kartik starts getting worried and tries everything possible to stop the calls. More than halfway through the film, the movie switches tracks in a surprising manner. All the way through, Kartik Calling Kartik leaves you hooked to the very end of the movie!

4. Ekk Main Aur Ek Tu

With Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan playing the main roles, most of this film builds up to a happily ever after between the two leads. While the leads get closer because of how they deal with their respective issues, the story leads to a point where one would think they would naturally end up together. However, in a surprise turn of events, Kareena Kapoor’s character tells Imran’s character that while there may be love of a certain kind, the two were definitely not going to end up together. Talk about a surprise ending!

5. Bluffmaster

Perhaps one of the few Bollywood movies with more twists to its name than any other made so far, Bluffmaster is a film within a film. It is only by the end of the film that the protagonist (played by Abhishek Bachchan,) realises he has been part of one of the biggest cons ever! Just as you start empathising with him for everything gone wrong, the climax just pulls the rug from beneath you with a major sweep of surprise! Definitely worth a watch for the anti cliches!

When movies end in a way they aren’t supposed to, they stay remembered for a longer time. If you think we missed out on any other movies with different endings, comment and let us know!

Remembering Madhubala, The Real Life Anarkali, On Her 86th Birth Anniversary

Remembering Madhubala,The Real Life Anarkali,Madhubala On Her 86th Birth Anniversary,Mango Bollywood,2019 Bollywood Movie Updates,Real Life Anarkali Madhubala Birth Anniversary,Madhubala 86th Birth Anniversary Special,Special Story about Madhubala

Madhubala, a real life Anarkali, led as tragic a life as her famous character, Anarkali. She had beauty, money, fame and grace. She was loved, with a massive fan following. However, while the face smiled and the eyes twinkled, the sadness behind the smile was a fact not many saw. Born to Ataullah Khan, Madhubala had a very hard life in her early years.

When her father lost her job at a tobacco factory, he realised the only way to make ends meet was by signing Madhubala into the world of films. At the young age of 9, Madhubala made her foray into the world of Bollywood with the film Basant, in 1942. Madhubala’s life quite literally changed the moment she entered the film industry. Despite being only 9 years old, being exposed to the world of films and cinema helped her realise there was more to life than she thought existed. Everything she knew started to change and this young child evolved into a better version of herself.

By the time Madhubala was 16, she had more than made her presence felt in the Bollywood world. Her demure looks, coy movements and budding acting skills were becoming synonymous with a new face in the industry. However, despite being known for her skills and beauty, her failing health was suddenly being noticed. The first public display of ill health was when she puked blood for the first time (allegedly,) during the shooting of Bahut Din Huwe in 1954.

The next public sign of ill health was when she fainted while shooting with Raj Kapoor for the 1957 film Chalack. While this film never saw the light of day, it shined light on the fact that Madhubala was seriously ill. Soon after, it was revealed that the actress had a condition, ventricular septal defect, commonly called “a hole in the heart.” With no medical treatment available for the disease at the time, the actress’s health started deteriorating slowly, but surely.

To make matters worse, the actress was struggling to keep herself rooted in terms of the professional world. A fighter for love and perfectionism to the very end, Madhubala made sure that no matter what, she always stuck through with her commitments. While both the love stories of her life (with Dilip Kumar and Kishore Kumar) ended in a disastrous manner, Madhubala never really let the despair of being alone show in public. Despite her love for Dilip Kumar being so strong, the engagement ended on a bitter note. According to the rumour mill, her father was dead against their marriage. However, even when she got over the heartache of losing Dilip Kumar with her marriage to Kishore Kumar, destiny had other plans. Her illness drove a wedge between the young couple and as her health worsened, Kishore Kumar left her to quite literally take care of herself.

Despite being loved by an entire Country of people, Madhubala spent the last few months of her life alone and depressed. Although she completed all the projects she had signed in the ten years it took for the completion of Mughal E Azam, Madhubala was largely left to tend to herself. For an actress born on the day of love, it is quite a tragedy to see that she literally received no love from the people around her. From the moment she was 9 to the very last days of her life, Madhubala’s life was filled with more pain, tragedy and sorrow with which anyone could hope to live.

On the actress’s 86th birth anniversary, it only makes sense that one takes a look at her life and life history. On this note, I am turning on the radio and listening to all my favourite Madhubala tunes and I think, there is really no other way to pay a better memory to her.

Gully Boy Review And First Day Box Office Collections

Gully Boy Review,Gully Boy First Day Box Office Collections,Gully Boy Movie Reviw,Gully Boy Movie Review and Rating,Gully Boy Movie Rating,Gully Boy 1st Day Collections,Gully Boy Day 1 Box Office Collections,Gully Boy Movie Story,Gully Boy Movie 2019

Cast: Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Raaz, Vijay Varma, Kalki Koechlin, Amruta Subhash and Sheeba Chaddha

Director: Zoya Akhtar

The film starts off with a depiction of how Murad (Ranveer Singh) lives. A house the size of a matchbox in a Mumbai chawl is his home. Accommodating a cast aside mother (played by Amruta Subhash,) a grandmother, an abusive father and a new stepmother not older than him, Murad dreams of rapping his way out of the drudgery. The only ray of hope in his life is Safeena (Alia Bhatt,) a live wire and quirky character who pushes Murad to achieve his dreams, no matter what. Kalki plays the role of a music scholar who has just returned from the United States. MC Sher (played by Siddhant Chaturvedi) takes Murad under his  wing and shows him the tricks of the trade. As a specialist in music, Kalki’s character is instantly drawn to the oozing talents displayed by Murad.

Centering around Murad, Gully Boy tells the story of how a rapper tries to break free of the drudgery and poverty in which he grew up,  through rap. While he struggles to make it to the coveted list of the top ten rappers, Murad’s family and friends help in making his dreams come true. Gully Boy tells the story of how an ordinary man becomes the extraordinary Murad through sheer determination and hard work. While rap is still considered extremely unconventional and is not an appreciated music form in India even now, this Zoya Akhtar directorial quite literally tells the story of a man’s journey from rags to riches. Siddhant Chaturvedi’s amazing acting skills as MC Sher have definitely put him on the map of actors for whom to look out .

While parts of Gully Boy may seem slightly familiar (Eminem’s 8 Miles comes to mind,) the overall directorial is nearly flawless. Zoya Akhtar has understood the strengths of all the leads perfectly and used them to her advantage. The dark side of Mumbai is not a side most people are comfortable accepting. However, with finesse and attention to detail, Akhtar manages to capture every alley and every nook without making it seem over the top and unreal.

The power packed performances by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are what make this movie so amazing. Based on the story of Mumbai rappers Divine and Naezy, Gully Boy tells an extremely real and hard hitting story. The presence of the original rappers in various scenes of the movie, along with lyrics written by them, adds a sense of gravitas and authenticity to the film. The rap battles are riveting and the script is written so well, there are almost no loopholes through the movie.

With no major drawbacks to this film, Gully Boy is an all out entertainer. One of the only things which doesn’t work for this is that there isn’t enough of Kalki’s character on screen. If there was, the fight for the different sides would have been a little more interesting. All in all, with Zoya Akhtar’s brilliant directorial skills and amazing performances by all the actors, Gully Boy is worth more than just a one time watch!
