The trailer for Naseeruddin Shah’s next movie, Hope Aur Hum, just dropped and by the looks it, this movie is a family drama through and through. If the two and a half minutes trailer are anything to go by, then this film is going to be worth a watch.

The story is a reminiscent tale of a family in Mumbai whose lives are explored through an endearing cinematic journey. The plot revolves around the Srivastava family whose lives are affected by the senior most member of the family, Nagesh (Naseeruddin Shah) whose obsession with his traditional copying machine called Mr. Soennecken, starts to take a toll on the different relationships of the entire family. It’s a simple story of human emotions explored through the intertwined lives of each family member. With the family revolting against Nagesh’s old ways, the film tells the tale of the transition between the old and the new, explored through the ideas and idles of three different generations. Watch the trailer here.
Produced by Samir Bandhopadhyay, the film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Sonali Kulkarni, Naveen Kasturia, Kabir Sajid, Aamir Bashir and Virti Vighani in the lead roles. A movie about coming of age and all things that go with a joint family, Hope Aur Hum shows the family dynamics off perfectly.
With less than a month to go for the release, this movie is definitely making it on the must watch list of every family drama lover. With Naseeruddin Shah playing the role of the chief protagonist and the family patriarch, what more could one want? Written and directed by Sudip Bandhopadhyay, Hope Aur Hum is scheduled to hit the screens on 11 May, 2018.
Karan Johar is Back With A Star Studded Cast For ‘Takht’
Karan Johar announced his upcoming film Takht set to release in 2020. The film features a star studded cast that includes Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Karan used Twitter to provide an insight into the story line.
An incredible story embedded in history…
An epic battle for the majestic Mughal throne…
A story of a family, of ambition, of greed, of betrayal, of love & of succession…
TAKHT is about WAR for LOVE….@dharmamovies @apoorvamehta18 pic.twitter.com/BQg6SvdFfb
— Karan Johar (@karanjohar) August 9, 2018
Takht is labelled as a historical film which comes after the previous film Padmaavat, that was released earlier this year and caused a stir in the country.
Takht is a historical magnum opus about the Mughal Dynasty, a battle between brothers for the Mughal throne. The lead character is played by Ranveer Singh as Dara Shikoh and Vicky Kaushal as his brother, Aurangazeb. Kareena Kapoor will be starring as their sister Jahanara Begum and Alia Bhatt would be playing the lead love interest.
This film would be the third historical film for Ranveer Singh after Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani that were both blockbuster hits.
Karan Johar is well known for having a famed cast featured in his films, his previous hit Ae Dil Hai Mushkil featured Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Fawad Khan and Aishwarya Rai.
The cast members could not contain their excitement and went on to social media to talk about the film. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt took to Twitter to announce their latest project and Janhvi Kapoor announced it on Instagram.
It was further announced that the screenplay is by Sumit Roy and dialogues by Hussain Haidry and Sumit Roy. It is unexpected for Karan to acknowledge the writers as the “heartbeat and soul of a film.” As writers require more recognition in Bollywood. Varun Grover (lyricist) and Neeraj Ghaywan (director) have been lobbying for writers getting the recognition they deserve by producers for a long time.
The Screenplay is by SUMIT ROY! Dialogues by HUSSAIN HAIDRY,SUMIT ROY! And thanks to @NotSoSnob for bringing these talents to us at @DharmaMovies ! An exciting journey ahead….WRITERS are the heartbeat and soul of a film! These gentlemen lead all the way…. pic.twitter.com/hyTucBmKaG

Bhumi Pednekar shared her excitement regarding the magnum opus “It’s a great honour for me to be working such great actors and to be directed by a veteran. I am a very big Karan Johar fan ever since I was a child. So honestly, it’s very special feeling and it’s still sinking in. I am still dealing with it and I am just so nervous about the film.”
Farah Khan congratulated Karan Johar for the film via a tweet.

#ANDHADHUN Starring Tabu, Ayushmann Khurana and Radhika Apte
The first motion poster of AndhaDhun, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and Tabu just released! The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan co produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Matchbox Pictures, is set to release on 5 October 2018.
Andha andhe ko rasta dikhaaye, toh phir andha kaun? #AndhaDhun produced by @Viacom18Movies & @MatchboxPix releases in cinemas near you on 5th October, 2018. @ayushmannk @radhika_apte #Tabu #SriramRaghavan @zeemusiccompany pic.twitter.com/PtHRzvflaX

Ayushmann Khurrana is moving away from his comfort zone after acting in romcoms such as Vicky Donor, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Meri Pyaari Bindu. He plays a blind pianist in this latest film.
“It (doing Andhadhun) was a deliberate decision. I think it is not important to reinvent yourself with every film. Actors probably take themselves too seriously thinking, ‘I have to be different in every film’. But more than seeing you differently, the audience wants to see you doing a different story. Apart from that, you can reinvent yourself after establishing yourself in a particular genre,” the actor said.
Oh it’s not easy when you have to match up to Sriram Raghavan’s string of badass film titles but we all gave it a try! Presenting #AndhaDhun! https://t.co/NlVTNA6dVO @andhadhunfilm @radhika_apte #Tabu #SriramRaghavan @Viacom18Movies @Matchboxpix @ZeeMusicCompany pic.twitter.com/javunbzlOq

The first look of the film will be revealed on soon. Andhadhun will be set in Pune and the shoot is almost complete. Talking about the film’s title, the director, Sriram Raghavan said, “We are punning with the title as Ayushmann plays a blind pianist. It goes well with the story too. We had a lot of options in our mind, including Shoot The Piano Player, but the producers weren’t keen on using an English title. I know the real word is ‘Andhadhund’, but the ‘D’ is silent for us.”
We are so excited to see Ayushmann Khurana and Radhika Apte together! Are you?

Stree Trailer Shows How Comedy In Horror Is Not A Dead Genre
Trailer out today… First look poster of #Stree… Stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee… Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Raj and DK… Directed by Amar Kaushik… 31 Aug 2018 release… #StreeTrailerToday pic.twitter.com/8sdggeEzrx
— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) July 26, 2018
When the makers started giving us a glimpse of the film through their promos, one thought Stree was going to be a really serious one. However, the trailer tells quite a different story. From the two and a half odd minute trailer, one gets the idea that Stree is a spirit, haunting and getting rid off all the men in her village. Which is why the tagline, “Iss saal mard ko dard hoga.”
Aaj tak mard #Stree ke peeche bhaagte the, ab woh har mard ko dard degi! Bach paoge tum? #StreeTrailer out now https://t.co/soSszcXYZ7 @RajkummarRao #DineshVijan @amarkaushik @TripathiiPankaj @Aparshakti @nowitsabhi @maddockfilms #D2RFilms @KrishDK @RajnDK @JioCinema @TSeries
— Shraddha (@ShraddhaKapoor) July 26, 2018
Despite the trailer giving us just the right glimpse of what to expect from the film, one still cannot understand who Stree really is in the movie. While Rajkummar Rao’s dialogue delivery is spot on as usual, it is Pankaj Tripathi’s character who keeps us interested in the film.
Iss baar aurat ko nahi, desh ke har mard ko uss se khatra hai…aa rahi hai woh aap
sabse milne! #StreeTrailerToday@RajkummarRao #DineshVijan @amarkaushik @TripathiiPankaj @Aparshakti @nowitsabhi @MaddockFilms #D2RFilms @krishdk @RajnDK @JioCinema @TSeries pic.twitter.com/Guntzbq0vo
