While Bollywood has a wonderful combination of beautiful daughters and stunning heroines, the “Villains” and their kids are usually overlooked. Today, we take a look at the top five villains of Bollywood and their gorgeous babies.
1. Shakthi Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
The Kapoor’s built their own stardom in Bollywood by delivering hit after super hit. Shakthi Kapoor is known for his villainous and comic roles, where as, Shraddha is a trained classical singer. In fact, this is one of the reasons why Aashiqui 2 became such a fantastic musical hit.
2. Ranjeet and Divyanka Bedi.
Ranjeet, the legendary villain made a record by doing more than 350 negative scenes. His only daughter, Divyanka, is a successful fashion and jewelry designer. She worked as a designer for Raell Padamsee’s play Murder on the Menu.
3. Danny Denzongpa and Pema Denzongpa.
Danny is multi talented. He is an actor, singer, director and what not! Though he is mainly into Bollywood by doing more than 190 films in Hindi, he also has a few South Indian hits on the list. This actor gained respect by receiving the Padma Shri Award. His first film as a director, Phir Wohi Raat was declared as one of the top 5 horror movies of Bollywood. On the other hand, Pema is a very simple girl who doesn’t grab attention in the industry.
4. Naseeruddin Shah and Heeba Shah.
Naseeruddin Shah is a famous Indian actor who created his own path with many award winning roles in Bollywood. He is also an international actor who has worked for many movies and plays in Hollywood. His contribution to Indian cinema earned him the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan Awards from the Indian Government. Heeba Shah is his first wife’s daughter who is not as famous for her films, but is known for her style of acting.
5. Raj Babbar and Juhi Babbar.
Raj made himself popular with his powerful dialogues in movies like Atma Se Badi Taqut Parmatma Ki Hoti Hai. Raj is not only known as an actor, but has been a member of the Lok Sobha three times in a row. Juhi, his beautiful daughter, is widely recognised as a television actress.

Bollywood Movies Which Failed When They First Released
Some Bollywood movies become hits and some fail. However, there are some with brilliant scripts and characters which fail, despite having everything going the right way for them. There are movies which gained recognition long after they hit the screens. Here’s taking a look at the movies which should have been super hits, but failed to make the kind of impact they should have!
1. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro
The failure of this film is a shocker even today. Despite having an impressive star cast (Boman Irani, Naseeruddin Shah, Puri, Ravi Baswani and Pankaj Kapur,) the film just failed to take off when it first released. A story about two photographers and their journey to success, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro just did not get the credit it deserved. Why? Because people in the ’80s just didn’t get satire as a concept, especially when it came in the form of a film! However, after a couple of years, the movie started being noticed by the right audience and people finally started accepting the greatness it was! So much that it eventually became a cult phenomenon!
2. Andaz Apna Apna
Andaz Apna Apna, despite being such a loved and sought after movie today, just failed to make an impression when it released. Although Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karishma Kapoor gave brilliant performances, the movie just refused to stick. While the targeted audience refused to get the message of the film (friendship always comes over love) at that point, people today absolutely love it. Well, it probably takes a long time to appreciate the intensity of the film and the brilliance of the story.
3. Rocket Singh
Perhaps the first time Ranbir Kapoor played a Sikh, the failure of Rocket Singh was a massive surprise. With a storyline which was impressive to the very end, this movie showed the struggles and the underbelly of the marketing world to perfection. However, what people didn’t get perhaps was the understated way the movie told the story. While all the actors put out their finest performances, the movie just didn’t do the wonders it was expected to at the box office. However, a few years later, the film finally picked up a fan following, going so far as to winning Ranbir Kapoor an award at the Filmfare!
4. Pyar Ka Punchnama
Okay, the fact this particular film failed wasn’t an entire surprise. Albeit being filled with certain funny moments and interesting monologues, the movie just failed to stick with the larger audience. Made with six debutants, this film had a lot of hidden innuendos and snide comments against a particular gender. A reason, which perhaps acted as the film’s drawback. However, despite all the negative remarks, this film still managed to get quite a good following years after its release. In fact, people liked it so much, they went ahead and made a second part! Oh, well! Humour is subjective.
When news about Swades first started doing the rounds, people thought there was no doubt the movie was going to be a success. However, when it eventually released, it barely made a splash. Complete with a star like Shah Rukh Khan playing the lead and a story which was heartwarming to the very end, the reaction Swades received was lukewarm, at best. Telling the story of one man’s dreams of providing electricity to his village, the climax just failed to keep the audience hooked. Thankfully though, good sense prevailed and people finally accepted Swades for all the great things it has to offer, purely because of the content.
Another Ranbir Kapoor movie which just didn’t make the cut when it released, Rockstar flopping was quite a surprise. While both Nargis Fakhri and Ranbir Kapoor brought their A games to the table, the movie was just not liked by the audience. One of the reasons which could be attributed to the dislike is the fact, the ending was in no way conducive to the rest of the story. While it may not have done well or appreciated at the time of its release, Rockstar started gaining a cult following and today, it is quite a favourite movie!
There are movies which become instant successes when they release and then there are movies which take time to gain following. This is our list of movies which gained recognition after they hit the screens. What movies do you think should have become successes, but failed instead? Comment and let us know!

Ranveer Singh’s Best Box Office Hits
Just a day before Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated film, hits the screens, it only stands fit to take a look at his previous hits. While Alia Bhatt and the other cast have performed just as well, Ranveer Singh’s character so far seems to be stealing the show! Here’s taking a look at some of his best box office performers before the movie hits the screens tomorrow!
Padmaavat, initially titled Padmavati, was one of Ranveer Singh’s best performances to date. Playing the role of a king (Alauddin Khilji) obsessed with Rani Padmavati, Ranveer Singh goes above and beyond with his superb acting skills. It isn’t just us who thinks this. The box office records flat out prove this fact, with Padmaavat raking in a massive income to the tune of Rs. 302.15 crores!
Unlike Padmaavat, Simmba was an out and out entertainer. A Rohit Shetty directorial, this film saw Ranveer Singh shine bright like a diamond, in the role of a cop. Ranked among the top ten highest grossest opening films and also marking Rohit Shetty’s 8th time in the 100 crore club, Simmba was a Ranveer Singh film all the way through. Breaking more than one record at the box office, this film cemented Ranveer Singh in the field of the era of top ten actors! Simmba went on to earn a whopping Rs. 240.2 crores at the box office post its release!
3. Bajirao Mastani
With Sanjay Leela Bhansali directing this periodic drama and Ranveer Singh playing the role of the Maratha warrior Bajirao, one can’t but expect this film to be brilliant. A commercial and critical success in every way possible, it is now extremely hard to imagine anyone else playing the role of Bajirao the way Ranveer Singh did! Earning Rs. 184.2 crores at the box office, this was perhaps one of the most captivating performances given by Ranveer Singh.
4. Ladies Versus Ricky Bahl
An adaption of John Tucker Must Die, Ladies Versus Ricky Bahl sees the original Ranveer Singh come alive. Playing the ultimate con man gone good, Singh perform this role to perfection. Can’t imagine anyone else playing this role, right? Neither can we! While the film didn’t do extraordinarily well on the first day, Ladies Versus Ricky Bahl still earned more than expected with its collection of Rs. 80 crores.
5. Dil Dhadakne Do
A movie about an heir trying to figure out his way in life through all the money and drama, Dil Dhadakne Do sees Ranveer Singh in one of his most sober roles yet. Opening to a collection of Rs. 10.53 crores, the film went on to do really well at the box office with a final collection of Rs. 76.88 crores! Not bad at all.
6. Band Baaja Baaraat
Band Baaja Baaraat, Ranveer Singh’s foray into the world of Bollywood, saw the actor break all records right away. From the very moment he starts jumping, dancing and acting on the screen, there was absolutely no shadow of a doubt that Singh was a star in the making. Running a little shy of entering the coveted 100 crores club (by earning Rs. 96 crores,) this movie was a Ranveer Singh masterpiece all the way through!
With Gully Boy all set to release tomorrow, one can’t wait to see how the movie is going to turn out. If you think we missed out on some other successes by the superstar, comment and let us know!

Furthermore, the actor also donated Rs. 15 lakhs to more than thirty widows and promised to donate the same amount every five months!

Biopics To Look Forward This Year
If there’s anything Bollywood taught us, it is, if you thought your imagination was quite great, then think again. Biopics as a genre are changing the way people look at those who became great personalities in life and through the years, movies like Sanju and Gold were some of the really well made movies. As the year 2019 progresses, here’s taking a look at some of the most interesting biopics to look forward to this year:
1. Super 30
Returning to the silver screen after a gap of nearly two years, Hrithik Roshan is all set to make a comeback with a biopic based on the life of Anand Kumar, a professor who gave underprivileged students the hope to dream. This Bahl directorial is all set to hit the screens on 26th January, 2019.
Late Gulshan Kumar, now known for founding the game changer of the Bollywood industry, T Series, had a very unglamorous childhood. A man who revolutionised the way Indian music industry functioned in the 1980s, Gulshan Kumar led quite a thrilling life. Mogul maps this man’s journey from the other side of tracks to being one of the most successful people in the country, to being shot outside a temple in Mumbai in the year 1997. This film’s release was originally scheduled for 2018, but due to various issues, the lead, Akshay Kumar, exited the project, causing the release date to be postponed to Christmas 2019.
After the release of all the controversies surrounding the life of Bal Thackeray in the book titled An Ordinary Life: A Memoir, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to play the role of Bal Thackeray in this film based on his life! Tracing the life of Thackeray’s journey from being a cartoonist, to being a politician who changed the face of the political scene in Maharashtra, Thackeray is going to be an eye opener. Initially scheduled to hit the screens in December last year, the film is now expected to hit the screens on Thackeray’s birthday this year!
