Bollywood Movies That Tried Too Hard, top 10 Bollywood Movies That Tried Too Hard,10 Bollywood Movies That are weird to watch,Top 10 worst Bollywood movies of all the time,10 worst Bollywood movies ,Mango Bollywood,Latest Bollywood News, latest Celebrities news

Every year, Bollywood has over a dozen releases. While some movies have become instant hits overnight, there are some which just made us question our sanity. Movies like 3 Idiots, Dangal, Pyaasa and Pakeezah have given us so many good moments. However, there are some films which are so bad, we do not know what is happening. Here are some movies which definitely make it to the weird list.

1. Tees Maar Khan

Who knew Akshay Kumar could overact as much as Katrina Kaif?

2. The Golmaal Series

Rohit Shetty and logic never, ever go well together. The four series of Golmaal provide us with more than enough proof of this statement.

3. Dhoom 3

The fact that Aamir Khan was part of such a weird movie is a disappointment. Circus revenge just does not work.

4. Chennai Express

Deepika Padukone’s Tamil accent, the stunts, Shah Rukh Khan and the villains were all too much. On a side note, we Tamilians do NOT like eating everything with yoghurt.

5. Ready

Even with Salman Khan, we were not ready for Ready.

6. Ra One

No. All that is visually appealing does not always do well with us viewers.

7. Jab Harry Met Sejal

Oh no. The least you could do was change the names. Such a bad rip off from When Harry Met Sally. I cried.

8. Krrish

I left half way through this movie it was so bad.

9. Noor

While a women centric movie has been due for a long time, this one failed to go beyond being a rom com. Ugh.

10. Student of The Year

I truly wish my high school had been this cool. Such high expectations why, Bollywood?

15 Years Of Lakhsya – Bollywood Movies About War

Published

on

Remember how Hrithik Roshan grew up and joined the Indian Army to inspire the rest of us in Lakshya?  As today marks 15 years since the release of this film, here is taking a look at some war movies which were not just about the lives of Indian soldiers but also about war and what the soldiers went through:

1. Lakshya

Directed by Farhan Akhtar, Lakshya told the story of Lieutenant Karan Shergill, who leads his squad to victory by capturing a territory taken over by Pakistan.  While war does play a crucial role in this movie, the other issue with which this film deals is how people grow when faced with responsibility.  From facing real life issues head on, to understanding the discipline and time which goes into becoming an adult, Lakshya is a true tribute to war and soldiers.

2. Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo

Directed by Anil Sharma, Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo tells the story of how terrorists attacked the holy temple of Kedarnath.  Apart from the story about this attack, the film also talks about how a man joins the Indian Army for a few years before moving to the United States. However, after he joins, he realises the amount of effort which goes into being a soldier and from then on, everything about his life changes.  Everything about this movie is heartwarming and shows how much people can do when pushed into a corner.

3. LOC Kargil

Based on the Kargil War fought between India and Pakistan, LOC Kargil was directed by J.P. Dutta.  A step by step account of everything which happened during the Kargil War, the film brings to the fore the hardships of war and what soldiers go through on a daily basis.  A multi layered story, LOC Kargil talks about the soldiers who made the entire operation a success.  Everything about this movie made you not only respect the amount of effort soldiers put into the war but also how much personal sacrifices they make for their country.

4. Airlift

Unlike the other films, Airlift tells the story of how a businessman helps evacuate Indians in Kuwait who are stuck there during the invasion of Kuwait by Saddam Hussein.  While this is one of the primary issues about which this movie talks, Airlift also looks at how the lead puts his personal life aside to help his fellow countrymen when in need.  A true patriotic movie, Airlift makes you fall in love with how far people can go to help their countrymen when required.

5. Border

Director J.P. Dutta’s shot to fame, Border was based on the Indo Pakistan War of 1971.  Touted to be one of the best war films to have been released, this movie showed what our soldiers went through to make our country a safe place.  From night patrols to killing men at gunpoint, Border makes you realise how deep the spirit of patriotism runs in a soldier’s blood.

If you think we missed out on any other great movies about war and soldiers giving their lives to protect their motherland, comment and let us know!

Sardar Udham Singh, Vicky Kaushal’s next film, finally has a release date.  Based on the life of Udham Singh, a revolutionary who was a part of the Indian freedom struggle, this Shoojit Sircar directorial is going to hit the screens on the 2nd of October, 2020.

Talking about the film, Shoojit Sircar said in a statement, “Yes we will be releasing on 2nd October 2020. Keeping in mind the remaining shoot schedule, the post production process and the time required to complete the film, my producers and good friends Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar advised this date for a feasible release next year, hence I decided to go ahead with it!”

Making a film about this revolutionary man was Sircar’s dream.  The Country remembers Udham Singh for shooting Brigadier General Reginald Dyer and Michael O’Dwyer, the Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, in 1940.  Udham Singh killed the two men to avenge the death of all the people killed during the Jallianwala Bagh massacre (1919) in Punjab.

Apart from this biopic, Vicky Kaushal is currently working on Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship,  which is scheduled to release on the 15th of November, 2019.  Shoojit Sircar, on the other hand, is working on Gulabo Sitaabo, which will star Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles.

Written by Ritesh Shah and Shubendu Bhattacharya, Sardar Udham Singh is bankrolled by Rising Sun Films.
