When is the second season of Sacred Games airing? Is Gaitonde alive? Will there be a nuclear war?

These kind of questions are pouring in on all the social media platforms. If you have not watched Sacred Games yet then you belong to the clan of boring people, now! Well, certainly, this is what the fandom on social media platforms say!  Ever since the series Sacred Games launched, it has been making headlines after it started streaming on the famous OTT platform, Netflix. This series is everything you did not expect it to be, from heart gripping scenes to happening dialogues and oh! The acting of our Bollywood fam is tremendously superb!  After ruling worldwide success with its original US shows such as House of Cards, Narcos and Stranger Things, Netflix shifted to India with its latest Bollywood flavoured series Sacred Games and its bravo! Anurag Kashyap, one of the finest directors of Bollywood is the mastermind behind this incredible series. From a gang based epic movie Gangs of Wasseypur to the modern adaption of an Indian classic Devdas in Dev.D, Kashyap produces films that are unique in their own way. With his latest direction in Sacred Games which is an adaption of a book of the same name written by Vikram Chandra, this series is a game changer. 

Sacred Games features the Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan (Sartaj,) Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Gaitonde) and Radhika Apte (Anjari) in the lead roles. It released worldwide on 6 July 2018 and ever since its debut on Netflix, people are going gaga over its thrilling and splendid plot.

Sacred Games is the first of the seven originals created by Netflix to up its game in the Indian market. 

The story revolves around Sartaj Singh, a low level cop in Mumbai. Sartaj struggles with his desire to be an honest cop among a corrupt police force. As he gets pressured to lie and cheat by the officers superior to him, one fine day he receives a phone call from a mysterious stranger. The stranger threatens him that Mumbai will be destroyed in 25 days and Sartaj must save it before then. Moving ahead, Sartaj is struggling to find answers. The show introduces a wide cast of characters including Anjari, the RAW agent who wants to prove she is more than just a desk analyst and Katekar, Sartaj’s partner who struggles with balancing family life and work. Revolving around the lives of various characters, Sacred Games is a story of the main antagonist’s origin, delivered in periodic flashbacks with Gaitonde, a young saint boy turned Don of those times, being the highlight of the series.

To spice up the series, we have a transgender bar dancer and a couple of other females who set the screens ablaze with their acting skills!  Sacred Games is perhaps India’s finest TV series till date and a gripping watch for all the binge watchers across the globe.  

From the background score to the cast to the theme, everything about Sacred Games is beaming with Bollywood vibe. The first season consists of a total number of 8 episodes. 

Not so long ago, Indian audience was hooked to the saas bahu dramas and household based stoylines but with this remarkable series marking its debut, Netflix breaks new grounds for the Indian Television!

The who’s who of Bollywood town made their presence felt at Poorna Patel’s and Namit Soni’s extravagant Sangeet party. The list of celebrities who attended the party includes Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Sagarika Ghatge, Zaheer Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Guru Randhawa, Sophie Chaudhary and the list does not stop here. The famous actor Ranbir Kapoor who is riding high with success, lands in trouble!

Amidst the success of Ranbir Kapoor’s latest film Sanju, the actor gets sued by his tenant for an amount of Rs. 50 lakhs.

According to a source, Ranbir Kapoor leased out his plush apartment in Trump Towers, located in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar, in October 2016. The actor got sued by the tenant for allegedly not honouring the terms of the rental agreement.

The tenant is Sheetal Suryawanshi, who had moved into the 6,094 square feets apartment after renting it on leave and license basis. According to the agreement,  the license fee was decided at Rs. 4 lakhs per month for the first 12 months and Rs. 4.20 lakhs for the next 12. Over and above Suryawanshi paid a deposit of Rs. 24 lakh.

The case is filed in the Pune civil court, where Suryawanshi sought damages to the tune of Rs 50.40 lakh and interest of Rs 1.08 lakh. She stated that her family suffered ‘severe inconvenience and hardships’ due to the sudden eviction. According to her,  11 months after she moved in, she was asked to vacate the flat. She eventually moved out by the end of 2017.

With regards to the case filed, Ranbir denied all allegations and filed his responses in the court. The actor stated that Suryawanshi was not asked to vacate the flat because he was moving in, reproducing a portion of the leave and license agreement. The clause in the agreement states that the lock in period would be of 12 months and that the licensee (Suryawanshi) cannot terminate it, before said period. The actor added plaintiff cannot unilaterally change, modify or interpret leave and license agreement to suit her convenience.

Sheetal also alleges she was ‘maliciously deceived‘ by Ranbir Kapoor into vacating the apartment. The file states that in January 2018, she sent a notice to Ranbir but did not get a response.

Going forward, the case is scheduled to be heard next on August 28.

Now that the song is out, Achche Din is a classic song revolving around a middle class man who is keen on achieving his dreams but is left shattered because of his unfulfilled dreams. The soulful track is composed and sung by Amit Trivedi. The video portrays Anil Kapoor leading a simple lifestyle who shares a special brotherly bond with Rajkummar Rao.

In the musical drama Fanney Khan, Anil Kapoor plays the role of a taxi driver, who wanted to become a musician and now wants his daughter Lata, to become a renowned singer. Apart from Anil Kapoor, the movie also features Rajkummar Rao and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The amazing lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil.

Dhadak tries to replicate Sairat’s essence however, it lacks in some aspects. Ishaan Khatter’s energetic performance grabs your attention, while Janhvi Kapoor and her gorgeous personality will melt your heart.
