Like a majority of movies Akshay Kumar has been in, his next movie, Gold also has a patriotic angle. Set in the year 1946, Akshay Kumar’s next movie chronicles the struggle of a hockey coach trying to convince his team as well as the system that he can get India a gold in the Olympics.
The teaser of this iconic movie just dropped and from the one minute long video, we see Akshay Kumar playing the role of a Bengali who is obsessed with love for hockey and for the country. This is the first time Akshay Kumar will be seen playing a Bengali and adds a new kind of authenticity to the character.

Cashing in on the patriotic sentiments of the country, Gold is scheduled to release on Independence Day this year! Apart from having Akshay Kumar in the lead, this movie also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal among others!

Priyanka Chopra Jonas Bags Role In Netflix’s We Can Be Heroes
Bollywood’s desi girl Priyanka Chopra Jonas is all set to star in Netflix’s upcoming superhero movie, We Can Be Heroes. According to latest reports, Priyanka signed a deal to star in Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming kid superhero movie.
Apart from Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the movie will also star Christian Slater, YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken, Boyd Holbrook, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, Adriana Barraza, Christopher McDonald and Pedro Pascal.
Priyanka’s last release was Isn’t It Romantic, in which she starred alongside Rebel Wilson, Liam Hemsworth and Adam DeVine. Her next release will be the Shonali Bose directorial The Sky Is Pink, which follows the love story of a couple through the eyes of their terminally ill daughter. The Sky Is Pink stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Sharaf in lead roles. The movie will be premiered at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2019 on September 13th, 2019.
Directed by Robert Rodriguez, We Can Be Heroes is about a group of kids whose superhero parents are kidnapped by a group of alien invaders. According to reports, Priyanka will play the role of Ms. Gradenko in the film. The production of the movie is currently underway in Texas.
Marjaavaan First Look And New Release Date Out
The first look poster of Marjaavaan is out now and Sidharth Malhotra is all set to face off Riteish Deshmukh in the movie.
Sidharth Malhotra shared the first poster as well as the new release date of the movie on Twitter.

In the poster, we can see Riteish Deshmukh as a dwarf sized villain, with the tagline “Kamineypaan ki height teen foot.” This will be Sidharth Malhotra’s and Riteish Deshmukh’s second collaboration after the hit 2014 film Ek Villain.
Speaking about Riteish Deshmukh’s role in Marjaavaan, director Milap Zaveri said, “Riteish’s villainous role had to be better than the last time. I decided to raise the bar by scaling him down in size. Even though he is a dwarf, his character is larger than life. The part is extremely wicked with dark humour, great punchlines and some crazy face off scenes with Sid.”
Marjaavaan is produced by Nikkhil Advani and T-Series and stars Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. The movie was originally set to be released on October 2nd 2019, but got delayed due to unfinished VFX work. Marjaavaan is now set to hit theaters on November 22nd 2019.
Netflix’s Bard Of Blood Trailer Released
The trailer of Netflix’s upcoming spy web series, Bard of Blood, is out now. The official trailer of Bard of Blood is set in Balochistan, Pakistan and shows a few Indian spies, captured by extremists. The trailer then introduces us to former spy Kabir Anand (Emraan Hashmi,) who is called back for a rescue mission in Balochistan, along with two other Indian spies.
Ribhu Dasgupta, who is the director of the web series, gave a statement regarding Bard of Blood and said, “This journey on Bard of Blood has been one which I will cherish all my life. It has changed me as a person and as a filmmaker for the best. Directing the series for Netflix, in association with Red Chillies Entertainment and Mr. Khan (SRK) has been an extremely fulfilling experience. I am so glad I could be a part of it and very excited about the trailer launch (sic.)”
Based on an espionage novel of the same name by Bilal Siddiqi, Bard Of Blood is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, Bard Of Blood stars Emraan Hashmi, Vineet Kumar Singh and Sobhita Dhulipala. The 7 episode spy thriller will stream on Netflix from September 27th 2019.
The Zoya Factor First Motion Poster Revealed
The first motion poster of Sonam Kapoor’s upcoming film The Zoya Factor is here. The motion poster was shared by Sonam Kapoor on her Instagram page, with the caption “Who needs Nimbu Mirchi, when you have Zoya Solanki! India’s lucky charm is here to turn tables around for you. #TheZoyaFactor.”
In the poster, Sonam Kapoor is seen in an Indian goddess avatar with a blue sari, traditional jewellery and a garland. However, she is also wearing sport shoes, holding a bat in one hand and a hat in the other.
Sonam discussed about the film in an earlier interview and said, “Everybody thought I should play Zoya, it is a fun part. I wanted to do something light-hearted but everyone wanted me to do drama. After Khoobsurat, I am doing a light-hearted film. Abhishek Sharma (director) is an amazing person. I have started shooting with Dulquer Salmaan.”
The Zoya Factor is an adaptation of author Anuja Chauhan’s 2008 novel of the same name. The movie follows the story of a girl working as an advertising executive, Zoya Solanki, who becomes a lucky charm for the Indian Cricket Team during the 2011 World Cup.
Directed by Abhisek Sharma, The Zoya Factor stars Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan in lead roles. The movie also stars Sonaam’s uncle Sanjay Kapoor, who will portray the role of Vijayendra Singh Solanki, Zoya’s father. The Zoya Factor is set to hit theaters on September 20th 2019.
The Girl On The Train First Look Revealed
The first look of the Parineeti Chopra starrer The Girl On The Train was revealed by the actress on her social media. Parineeti Chopra took to Instagram to share a few stills from the movie with the caption, “Something I’ve never done before. And the most difficult character I have ever played in my life. #FirstLook #TheGirlOnTheTrain.”
Parineeti Chopra, in an earlier interview, expressed her excitement about the movie and said, “I am super excited to be shooting this film because this is a role that I have never experienced before, read before and I think the audience has never experienced this kind of acting piece from me. It’s a complete contrast to the kind of personality that is associated with me, so I am excited as an actor to do something completely new.”
The movie is an official Hindi adaptation of the Emily Blunt starrer The Girl On The Train. The movie, a thriller, follows an alcoholic divorcee, who becomes obsessed with the murder of a girl. The shoot for the movie went on floors in July in London. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the movie stars Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari and Kriti Kulhari in lead roles. The Girl On The Train is expected to be released in 2020.
