Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. starring Kangana Ranaut, has been in the news for a while now. From the momenit was announced, there was a lot of excitement surrounding this movie.
The film is going to be based on brave warrior Queen of Jhansi Rani Lakshmibai was initially slated to hit theatres on 27 April, 2018, but will now release in June or July. Manikarnika is being co produced by Zee Studious, Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti.
A source close to the movie said, “Kangana is in Himachal Pradesh these days, spending some quality time with her family. She will resume work soon, but the VFX on the film is going to take a bit longer. So now the film will release only in June, or maybe even July.”
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is a period film which is being directed by Krish. This movie also stars Atul Kulkarni (as Ramchandra Pandurang Tope also known as Tatya Tope) and Sonu Sood (as Sadashiv).
The movie will also mark the Bollywood debut of TV actress Ankita Lokhande (who will play Jhalkaribai a brave warrior and advisor to Rani Lakshmibai) and model Nihar Pandya(as Maratha Peshwa Bajirao II.) Kangana Ranaut, the three times National Awards winner, really needs this movie to be a hit because of the huge number of controversies she has been involved in.
