Creating your own clothing line seems to be the trend right now. A lot of the industry bigwigs have started their own fashion lines and Anushka Sharma seems to have joined the bandwagon as well.
Anushka launched the Winter/Autumn collection of her line, Nush, and released about 100 pieces of her fashion line. Barely a week into the launch and Anushka is already neck deep in controversies. She has now been slapped with copyright issues for directly taking the designs from Chinese eCommerce websites.
What seems to be extraordinary is that the clothes from the line are not just inspired, but seem to be directly lifted from these Chinese eCommerce websites. Some of the clothes that have come under the radar are: black bomber jacket, Camo Print Jacket, Striped Pants, Pink Bomber Jacket and Trench coat.
The clothing line is Anushka’s next venture after her production house, Clean Slate Films. The line has been styled based on Anushka Sharma’s original ideas. She aims at bringing unique styles that can be worn for any occasion and at any event. On the copyright issue, Anushka’s spokesperson’s said that there are a lot of discrepancies that have cropped up, and add that they are going to get to the bottom of the issue as soon as possible.
