Superstar Amitabh Bachchan was amongst the few people on Monday to download the traffic police’s app, which is used by anyone to capture traffic offenses on a cell phone camera and post those offenses on the app.
The event took place in Mumbai where the superstar was invited to launch the app and he also downloaded the app too. This was done by the Mumbai traffic police in order to control traffic violence and in order to change the traffic system in India.
Celebrities becoming a face for this kind of awareness is truly inspiring and becoming a senior citizen Amitabh Bachchan has done a very good thing by taking up something like this which can bring some change in the society. He said “I want to offer my services to Mumbai Traffic Police. I’ve been saying this for many years that if my face and voice can sell Maggi noodles, why can’t I do something good for the city?”
The superstar at the same event also spoke about the rash riders and the bikers who violate traffic rules and when he stops them and asks, the person instead of saying sorry asks in return a selfie with him. He said, “I often see that even if there is a red signal, people break the rule. If anybody does it in front of me, I wait until it becomes green, catch the car and try to convince him that he has done a wrong. They express regret, but ultimately they ask me for a selfie.” These were few funny incidences he shared.
However, the traffic police have done a great job by innovating new techniques to stop traffic violations.
